The Chesmont Astronomical Society is a non-profit amateur astronomy club that exists to observe the night sky and to talk about what we have seen. We meet each month off Route 100 between Exton and Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and we observe every dark window and every other chance we can get! Please read our About Us pages for more information.

CAS is a proud member of the Astronomical League.

Blair Witch Observing Site

I was looking for information on radio astronomy and came upon the STAR Astronomy club, located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Aside from a description of their club that says they have the largest portable dobsonian in the tri-state area (a 25-inch aperature telescope), they list an event, albeit posted in March 2009, that looks pretty creative (see link at http://www.starastronomy.org/images/admin/blair-witch-poster). I think it's just a poster someone created, but it's well done and certainly got my attention. I couldn't help but think of our members who observe at Coyle Field.

Labor day weekend

Not sure why I have a double post here.

Sorry
